Frequently Asked Questions

How long will my spray tan last?

Your spray tan will last 7-14 days, depending on your skincare routine and activity level. We recommend using our skin care additives to help maintain a longer-lasting tan.

Is the spray tan safe for all skin types?

Yes, our spray tan is safe for all skin types. We offer customizable tans ranging from a light glow, to medium, dark, and ultra dark to suit your preferences. We do however ask if you have any known allergies prior to appt. and per request can provide an ingredient list for each product used. We use clean, cruelty-free, paraben-free, and organic products.

Will I turn orange or be too dark?

NO! As a Certified Spray Tan Specialist, I will evaluate your skin type and choose which formula and DHA% will work best for you! I will 1st use a PH balancing prep to balance the PH levels on each area of the body to prevent 🍊
Then the solution base chosen will color correct and neutralize orange tones to complement your skin tone. I choose to go lighter your first time as a precaution and as we work together you can choose to go darker if desired. Each clients darkness depth depends on their natural melanin production in their skin.

How does the spray tan process work?

You will be booked in a 30min-1hr time slot based on your needs so that we have time for a quick consultation. I first apply prep products, and then the spray tan solution using HVLP spray tan gun. I have a heater, or a fan per your request, and a large extraction fan to rid the tanner from the air. Once completed you will feel dry, get dressed, and be given take home instructions on how to maintain your spray tan.

Can I get a spray tan while pregnant of breast feeding?

If pregnant or breast feeding we do recommend that you get your OBGYN consent as a precaution. Some Drs may not permit it due to a risk for inhalation. Our top priority is working a in well ventilated area with extraction fans.

  • DHA (the darkening agent in spray tan solution) only penetrates the top layer of the skin, the stratum corneum, which is constantly shedding dead skin cells, causing the tan to fade over time.

  • No absorption into bloodstream:
Since it only affects the outer layer, a spray tan is not considered to be absorbed into the body or bloodstream.

I messed up my tan! What do I do!?

For water droplets the best thing you can do is blend it using a foundation brush or a beauty blender, and then when you get in the shower to rinse, rub that area a little more with a little more love!

You can use a wash cloth ONLY for those areas that need more removal.

If you fell asleep in your tan and you have dark areas on your palms and scrubbing doesn't work, you can always use baby oil as an extra added helper! Pumice stone is known to work as well!
And as always, just text or call me anytime! I'm here to help!
