My first priority will always be the health and safety of others! I have dedicated all of my time and profits to finding the cleanest products on the market that give a luxurious outcome. I use EPA certified disinfectant in between each client, and educate each client on cross contamination for their possible future experiences with other artists.
Growing steadily from humble beginnings
It all began with a simple idea fueled by a deep passion. With my Mother in Law being a skin cancer survivor and my Husband having having a skin cancer scare, my job is important to me! Spray tanning saved me from tanning beds, so getting clients out of the tanning bed and into my tent is the goal!

Hey y’all!
My name is Mellisa Basile and I am a lifetime local! I have two children of whom I share with my amazing Husband, the oldest a Boy, and youngest a girl. I also am the proud mother of a French bulldog named Lilo who we named for our love for Lilo and Stitch! They have all taught me much in life!
How it all began
I grew up with a great tan being outside most of my days. But then as I got older and had more responsibilities, and I was stuck inside. My tan went away quick!
I instantly turned to expensive plans with my local Tanning salon, and each minute I spent under that light I thought about melanoma. I kept going because I felt confident when I was tan.
But then my Husband had to have a large area of skin from his back removed that could’ve become CANCEROUS and I began developing skin issues myself.
So, I turned to Spray Tanning! I know I’m choosing a healthy way, and I don’t have to feel guilty for doing it. I started Fl Baked because I want to help you feel the same way I do now! And after the courses and research I completed, I want to educate my extended family (you guys) about this spray tanning thing!
It can give so much more than just a tan! Change your mood, your confidence, and your appearance in 10 mins!
Everyone thinks "ORANGE TANNING FAILS" When they see ads for spray tanning. Spray tanning has EVOLVED! And I want to shout it from the rooftops!
Our history
I have been an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant, with Radiology, CPR, and over 30 continuing education certifications, since 2017. Some of those continuing education certifications include Infectious Control, cross-contamination, and professional teeth whitening. My dental home was at Kilman Dental in New Smyrna Beach and I miss them dearly! I still go visit from time to time because a girl has to keep up appearances! But it was time for a change and I am happy that I found my own thing where I can create my own schedule to spend more time with my children. And of course, as I said be able to educate people and get them out of the sun!
